Pat Rothfuss runs auctions every year to support the Worldbuilders charity, a fundraising endeavor supporting Heifer International. This year, one of the auctions was for John Kovalic to draw the winner on a Munchkin card in an upcoming set. The winning bid was -- are you sitting down? -- $2,151.
Thanks to the winner and to everyone who bid on that auction!

After some internal discussions and some chatting with our friends at Grand Prix International, we have decided to reprint Munchkin Quest later this year (we're still working out the schedule). It's been increasingly hard to come by for a little while now, so we hope this makes some of y'all happy!
We are letting the Munchkin Boxes of Holding series go out of print. It's possible we will replace them with something else down the line, but for now, those are proposals, not plans, and I wouldn't expect anything along these lines for a couple of years, at least, and "never" is a possibility as well. (In other words, don't ask!) We're expecting the Munchkin Boxes of Holding Set 2 to sell through and fall out of print this summer. Supplies of the Munchkin Cthulhu Crypts of Concealment and Munchkin Zombies Meat Lockers are still pretty healthy, so you will have some options for a while yet, but once those sell through, that's it.Share this post!
We're pleased to announce that Munchkin Apocalypse: Mars Attacks! is now shipping from our Atlanta warehouse to distributors; you can expect to see it on the shelves of your Friendly Local Game Store in a couple of weeks.
Mars Attacks!, the hit trading card series from Topps, is invading the world of Munchkin Apocalypse! In this 15-card booster, you'll battle Monster Bugs and the Heat Ray Saucer on your way to Level 10, with the help of new goodies like the Martian Zap Rifle and Giant Spiky Feet. But watch out for the new Seals -- you could end the world with Reality TV! (It makes total sense to us.)

I do! We'll be running a Google Hangout this Friday, January 17, at 2:00 pm Central Time (GMT-6). The topic is "2013 recap and 2014 preview," but of course the conversation is likely to range much farther afield than that.
Make sure you add us on Google+ before the event! If you have questions you'd like to ask, you can ask us on Twitter (@SJGames) with the hashtag #MunchkinHangout, or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Munchkin Hangout." And of course, if you're free that afternoon, you're welcome to join in!
Looking forward to chatting with y'all!

The SJ Games offices are back open and we're all catching up on over two weeks of email and accumulated work.
Steve, Phil, Devin, and I are very excited about all the stuff coming up for Munchkin in 2014 -- we hope you will be, too!Share this post!
The Steve Jackson Games offices, including the Munchkin World Headquarters, will be closing this Friday for the holidays. Thursday is our end-of-year Game Day, so really Wednesday is the last day to expect anyone to get anything done. (Except that 2014 is so packed that I can't possibly afford to take a lot of time off; I plan to be working most of the break.)
Most important, Wednesday is the last day Warehouse 23 is accepting orders this year; any orders placed after noon on Wednesday run a real risk of not being shipped until January.
Munchkin News is taking a hiatus as well. We'll see you in January!Share this post!
