January 20, 2013: Comics Buyer's Guide Ends Publication

Another long-time industry publication is closing its doors. Krause Publications has decided to stop publishing the Comics Buyer's Guide after the March 2013 issue. CBG was first published in 1971, and has been a staple of comic fans' libraries for four decades now. (Their spinoff publication, Comics & Games Retailer, was for years the only even semi-reliable source of sales information for the tabletop gaming industry.)

Let's hope this isn't a harbinger of bad times ahead for the comics hobby.
